warmer weather please

it's snowing outside.

It's about this time of year I get really excited about Spring & Summer, yet the Utah weather toys with my emotions.

So we'll think warm.


and put on our Mexican dresses:





and imagine ourselves lying on the beach, drinking pina coladas with cute little umbrellas






we're feeling better already

Remember how excited I was to share that Claire was sleeping 9 hours through the night at 10 weeks?

yeah well, it hasn't happened since.

I'll learn to not speak too fast!

watch out, she spits

I know all babies spit-up, I just feel Claire does it exceptionally well, and all the time.

Look at that guilty face, she loves seeing us wear her spit.

I'm just glad we're past the volcanic eruption stage. In her first few weeks of life after some big feedings she would empty her stomach completely, with it coming out of her mouth AND nose, soaking me, the good-for-nothing "burp" cloths and the couch and blankets.
It actually was sad.
Could my daughter have a binge/purge complex so early in life?


Look at this awesome picture. She's not sucking on anything, that's just one long streak.
mmmm.

And what have I learned from all this? Don't attempt "supermans" after feedings. Not once, but 3 times I made the mistake and got covered. I repeat- 3 times! You'd think I learn.

happy homemade valentines

I thought I was so clever with my valentine this year, making a felt magnetic picture frame:




But no, the valentine-of-the-year award goes to Bruce.
He made this and accompanied it with a little poem.

I know, impressive! He said he stayed up until 3am finishing it while I was working the night shift.
Now if that doesn't say love, I don't know what does!
