Random flip-flops and first aid supplies you think? Well, who knew they could make one so happy?!! These are all the things that friends, family and neighbors donated for me to take to Thailand! I'm here now and am so excited to disburse them where they're most needed. So THANK YOU again to everyone for your contributions and support. I officially have the best family and friends and neighbors ever!!
more to come later....

Return of the Slick
WELCOME HOME ELDER TAIT!!! Michael came home last Thursday from the Baltimore, Maryland mission. The two years seemed to fly by so fast but then again it felt like we hadn't seen him for too long. Isn't he a handsome lad?! He's headed down to BYU in the fall so look-out zoobies! He's bound to top the most eligible bachelor list! You wonder if my sister Brittany is about to pop? Well, she sure is...Wednesday morning at 7am she'll double her off-spring. We just hope he's as cute and chubby and lovable as little Brooklyn!
I made him his favorite dessert for a welcome home treat- a giant fruit pizza. Bruce came home just as I was cutting up all the fruit and went wild decorating it. Here's his masterpiece in the arms of the grateful receiver. One problem...our dang oven fooled me and cooked the top but left the middle untouched. Lucky cookie dough tastes so good because it still got eaten!
Welcome home Michael!!

Hardcore
I wish everyone had the chance to participate in the Ogden Marathon/Half Marathon race on Saturday. Melinda and I did and we loved it! Aside from the throbbing calves and aching butt cheeks the day was downright sweet. Perfect weather, fantastic scenery and great company all made for an unforgettable day.
A few pics.

one year
wow, fastest year ever!! And might I add best? I'm one happy girl. Here's to my love:

The celebrations haven't ended! We celebrated in Cancun, went to the Mandarin Friday night in Bountiful and Saturday went to a BBQ and the RSL soccer game with some friends. I wish everyday was our anniversary!

AYE KARUMBA!
Being Cino de Mayo, I feel it appropriate to post pics from our very own fiesta South of the border. We spent 6 days in Playa del Carmen/Cancun with Russ and Christie and LOVED IT!!! The sun was hot, the tacos tasty and the ocean was so beautiful!
Ole!
Beach in Cancun
Snorkeling in Akumal...and we saw a baracuda! killer.
Ruins of Tulum (although I didn't post the actual pics of the ruins, I will because they're really cool!)
This is actually Russ and Christie (Bruce's brother/sister-in law) parasailing in the distance. You can't really see them but it's a pretty picture.

Pet Peeves you ask?
I accept Cara's tag to list my pet peeves. I think they kinda change with my mood of course, but here are the ones that seem to stay true no matter my state
1) Hearing people chewing and eating loudly. I can't stand this!! Especially when it's all slobbery with lots of lip smacking. It's such a huge pet peeve that it thwarts all others in rating as worst. I think it was first born in high school when this character we referred to as "the parrot" crunched on coco puffs so loudly that I will forever refuse to eat them.
2) It really drives me crazy to have dirty countertops. Crumbs and spills particularly but it also extends to dirty dishes, papers, etc. Whatever it be I just like clean surfaces!
3) I hate DUST! Does it seem like you have to dust once a week to keep everything clean? Well, I don't dust that often so it piles up fast and it kinda drives me crazy!!
4) I have little patience or enjoyment conversing with know-it-alls. They make it as #4 on my list. I find it exhausting to try to have a two person conversation with someone who already knows everything about what you're talking about, or is the 'expert' on each topic, or cuts in to break you off or finish your sentences because, of course they already know what you're about to say!
5) I really hate seeing litter and trash in streets and even worse in nature. And I hate it even more when I witness someone just drop their trash like it's nothing. Lazy?!
6) I also am bugged by grammatical errors, (though probably have plenty of my own). But more specifically I hate when things are spelled wrong to to have a different or matching name. "Kampus Korner" "Skool Lunch" Why must they do this?
I want to hear the pet peeves of Libby, Christy, Teresa, Amelia, Amy and Alyse. You've just been tagged!
